How to Run an Event
Leadership is all about stepping up and doing what it takes. Leaders make the most money because they take on the most responsibility. In network marketing, the biggest and most important responsibility is running events.
In GeneWize we call these events GSPs (GeneWize Swab Parties), GBLs (GeneWize Business Luncheons) and GBBs (GeneWize Business Briefiings). They are all essentially the same thing with subtle differences.
The GeneWize Swab Party (GSP) — Keep it Simple
The GSP or GeneWize Swab Party is the most important part of the GeneWize business. This is where you develop connections, friendship, training and motivation to build your business. Most importantly you’ll realize that ‘you can do this’ everytime you see a new person at the GSP. “I know someone like that new person!”
Here’s how the GSP works. Monday to Thursday at 7pm is the best time.
1. The host of the party has GeneWize swabs on hand (order from your back office)
2. You invite people to a “DNA Party” where your friends can learn about the anti-aging breakthroughs with DNA.
3. Welcome everyone to the party
4. Play the DVD (order in back office)
5. Tell your stories (all current affiliates whether you just joined or have been in for 6 months)
6. Ask, “Who would like to swab tonight?” and “Who would like to hold a Swab Party”
Yes… it’s that simple.
GeneWize Business Lunch (GBL) — Food and Fun
For many people Monday to Thursday at 7pm is just not possible. The Business Lunch is the perfect alternative. Here’s how it works.
1. Find a local restaurant that has a separate room
2. Invite affiliates and Guests
3. Play the DVD (order in your back office)
4. Affiliates tell their stories
5. End with, “If you see an opportunity here, get started today or come to a Swab Party”
Yes, it’s that easy.
GeneWize Business Briefing (GBB) — Excitement and Momentum
When the GSPs and GBLs get too big your local market can use a GeneWize Business Briefing. To run meeting like this you need the following:
1. Rent a hotel meeting room
2. Laptop, projector, screen, DVD, sound system, music
3. These are usually run on Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday nights at 7pm
4. Charge $10 per affiliate to cover costs . Guests are free
5. Show the video
6. Go through the slides (on www.teamwize.com under Marketing Tools)
7. have 5-10 affiliates tell their stories (30 seconds each)
8. End with, “If you see an opportunity here get started tonight.”
Yes… it’s a little more complicated than GSPs or GBLs, but GBBs can create a lot of excitement and motivation for people. They are worth running when your local market grows.
Conclusion
Running one of these events may be out of your comfort zone, but once you do a few it becomes really easy. And people who step up and run events like this are usually the people who make the most money in the company.
Now is the time to run your GeneWize Events!
