Quick Start

You don’t have to be an expert on the Product, Company or Compensation. However, your understanding of them helps build your belief in what you represent and builds your confidence in approaching people.

Make sure you visit our training pages (and videos) on the product, company and compensation to get more familiar with them.

WHO/HOW TO APPROACH PEOPLE

The key to building your business is NOT how many people can you enroll, so get it out of your mind that you have to be a celebrity, Internet marketer or influential business person to succeed in this business. You do not.

The key to building a LARGE and RAPIDLY GROWING business is duplication — that is keeping your approach simple enough for the people you talk with to say, “I can do what he/she does!”

The following approach is so simple, duplicatable and effective that you can literally approach ANYONE and EVERYONE.

Your job is to NETWORK, not to sell. People run away from sales people and toward networkers. Networkers seek first to help and then to be helped.

“Who Do You Know?”

If you were looking for a job, you’d network. You’d call your family and friends and say, “I’m looking for a job, who do you know?”

If you needed a doctor, you’d network. You’d call your family and friends and say, “I’m looking for a doctor, who do you know?”

That’s how you approach people about GeneWize. You call your family and friends and say, “I’ve got an exciting project. I’m looking for successful people who’d like to make money. Who do you know?”

You can do that.

They may ask, “What is it?” or they may say, “I don’t know anyone.” It doesn’t matter.

Your next step is to say, “Give me your email and I’ll send you a short video. Please watch the video and let me know who you know that might be able to help.”

You can do that.

DUPLICATION

Do you see how this is a little easier than creating a website, optimizing it for search engines, starting a blog, learning Internet marketing strategies, paying for advertising, renting a booth at a convention or opening up an office?

Did you also notice how you didn’t have to say anything about the product, company or compensation plan. It’s not because you can’t or because you don’t want to, it’s easier to let the video do all that.  Easier for you means easier for your guest. And that means duplication.

Here’s the simple system you can follow to make your business work. After you expose and present the business/product with the video, you’re bound to have some people interested.

The next step is.

FOLLOW-UP AND INTRODUCE THE TEAM

When someone has questions that are not answered by the video it’s important that you first introduce that person to other team members who can help answer their questions.

Once again, if you answer like the expert they may think they need to be an expert too. You can even let them know that you have a team and other tools in the system to answer all of their questions and that you’d like to introduce you to them so if they decide to do the business they know what resources are available to them.

Some of the ways to meet the team:

  • Home events — if your team is local they can meet in someone’s home
  • Lunches — ideal for busy people
  • Hotel events — when your local area gets too big for your home event
  • Personal Conference Calls — 3-way calls with your sponsor or small conference calls you set up for free at www.freeconferencecall.com
  • National Conference Calls — see right side bar for national calls
  • Webcasts — see right side bar for details
  • Corporate Fly-Ins — see the Events tab for the next big event

Each of these events are incredibly important to helping you build the business. Meeting and shaking someone’s hand is much more powerful than a phone call or a webcast and helps build the trust and relationship needed for long-term business and residual income.

The final step is to

ASK AND TRAIN

It’s simple to ask, “Do you see an opportunity here?”

The hard part is to stay detached from the outcome. Imagine that you’re offering coffee to your guest. Do you care if they say yes or no? Of course not.  If you come from that position and posture you’ll discover that more people will want to work with you. And if you come from a desperate position, you’ll discover quite the opposite.

Stay detached and ask, “Do you see an opportunity here?” Lets get started.

Once someone says, “yes”, your next step is to get them to this training and have them expose the business or product to 10 people within 48 hours. We have lots of training resources for you and your team to help them get started.

  • Quick Start Training — this training you are reading right now is all you need to get started
  • Affiliate Kit — when you become an affiliate you’ll get a training booklet that gives you training on how to maximize your business.
  • Back Office — in your www.mygenewize.com back office there is a training tab with several training PDFs.
  • Training Sites and Videos — Team-Wize has a list of all the sites that top affiliates have created to train and support their team.  You can use any of the training materials from any of these sites even if you are not associated with that particular team.
  • Local Mixers — after each presentation of the business there is usually a quick start training
  • Super Saturdays — Check the event calendar to see if there are these trainings in your area
  • Executive Fly-In — this is the most powerful training event we have. People who attend this training out-recruit people who don’t, 7 to 1.

The key to leadership (and income) is Quality, Quantity and Training — recruit people you think would be better at this than you (Quality), recruit often (Quantity), and teach others to do the same (Training).  Keep things simple. Use the systems. You can do this.

P.S. This is really ALL there is to building your business. All other trainings are about personal and professional development (developing confidence and competence in becoming a leader) and explaining why the system works. If you ever have any trouble in your business, go back to the training above. Team that exposes the most using the systems, introduces the most to the team and trains the most always… always… earns the most.
